School Resource Officer Day is on Monday, February 16, 2026, but since we don't have school, we wanted to make sure Deputy Owens knows how much he is appreciated at Luray High School.
At lunchtime today, students from LHS SCA presented Deputy Owens with a poster from his Luray High School Family and a box of treats to " help" him do his job.
Thank you for all you do for our students and staff. You are appreciated.

Don't forget
Ms. Weikle’s Honors Environmental Science class put the scientific method to work today! 🧪💧
Students tested different water temperatures to investigate whether temperature affects the growth capsules used to create an animal sponge.

From forming hypotheses to collecting data and analyzing results, they were thinking like real scientists every step of the way. Curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking in action! 👩‍🔬📊🐠
