In their Analyzing Health and Safe Environments for Children Unit, students identified the components of healthy snacks for young children and learned to identify safety hazards and ways to protect children from them. In addition, this activity built on earlier lessons about identifying developmentally appropriate practices that support and maximize development and learning for all children. Students were tasked with creating snacks for a pre-K program that were nutritious, safe, and involved children's fine motor skills.

Students in Ms. Weikle’s Biology class successfully completed the Monster Mash escape room activity as part of their unit on human body systems. This interactive experience helped students reinforce their understanding of the major organ systems—including the digestive, respiratory, circulatory and skeletal systems in a fun and engaging way. The activity served as an exciting lead-up to the upcoming fetal pig dissection, where students will apply their knowledge in a hands-on anatomical exploration.
