This is an important message from Page County Public Schools.
Tomorrow, Friday, March 31, 2023, school will be CLOSED for Shenandoah Elementary School students. All other schools in the division will operate as normal. Shenandoah Elementary School staff should report by 9 am.


Shenandoah Parents and Guardians,
All Shenandoah Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30pm.
All students are being transported to Fields United Methodist Church - 412 Third Street in Shenandoah. Please access the church from Third Street off of Virginia Avenue.
To pick up your child, you will need to present staff with a valid picture ID. Please follow the directions of PCPS Staff and Law Enforcement when on site.
PCPS will hold all students who cannot be immediately picked up by a parent and they will ride their regular bus route home.
School counselors and other division staff are onsite to assist students and staff.
Lunch will be provided to all students

At this time, everyone is safe and okay. Law enforcement remains on site and are conducting room by room checks and moving students to the auditorium. The area around the school has been blocked off from all traffic.
Anyone who is traveling to the school will be diverted at this time by law enforcement.
Parents and Guardians - Fields United Methodist Church is the designated site for you to go if you want to be in the area.
Please be prepared for the possibility of an early dismissal from school for our Shenandoah students.

We are notifying you of an ongoing situation at Shenandoah Elementary.
Shenandoah Elementary School went into a school-wide lockdown at about 10:30 a.m. due to a report of a suspicious individual in the community. The Page County Sheriff’s Office and the Shenandoah Police Department are currently on site and conducting a full sweep of the area. We will remain in a lockdown until there is confirmation that all is clear from law enforcement.
No other schools are implementing lockdown procedures as this incident is isolated to the Shenandoah school area. We will continue to update everyone as new information is available.

This is an important Bus Route message from PCPS:
NOTICE OF A LATE BUS ON THURSDAY MORNING AND AFTERNOON--
Notice to parents in the Stanley Area--Bus 68 will be approximately 30 minutes late on Thursday, March 24th for the MORNING run and 30 minutes late for the EVENING run. Bus 35 will be doubling up to cover Bus 68's route.
