PCPS Families,
The end of the 1st quarter of the school year is October 31. Report cards will be published in ParentPortal on November 6.
As you review your child's progress, please remember that Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on November 7 from 10am-6pm. This is a great opportunity to schedule time to visit with your child's teachers. Contact your child's school to schedule a conference time!

Mrs. Deb Lucas and Mrs. Lindsey Lucas, School Counselors at PCHS, presented at this year's Virginia School Counselor Association Conference in Hampton.
The duo presented a session for other school counselors entitled, "Encouraging Engagement Among Freshman Students & Families." Attendees learned about how Panther Nation, with the help of PACA, encourages engagement, wellness, and prevention.

Next week, October 23-27th is Red Ribbon Week. The theme this year is "Be Kind to Your Mind, Live Drug-Free." Schools around the division will be participating in a variety of activities and spirit days to raise awareness and encourage students to live drug-free. If we do receive threats, we respond immediately to investigate, involving law enforcement and taking all necessary precautions to ensure student and staff safety.
If you or your child become aware of any potential threats please immediately notify a school staff member, a school resource officer, or contact law enforcement. Thank you for helping us provide a safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff.
We are committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students and staff, and are grateful to our law enforcement partners for their continued vigilance and support.
