At the SHENVAFL Tournament #2 LHS had some STRONG performances: Senior B. Switzer tied for 2nd in Dramatic Interpretation Junior A. Hill earned 2nd place in Extemporaneous Speaking Sophomore S. Williams earned 2nd place in Storytelling. DEBATE STUDENT CONGRESS: B. Caudill ranked #7 in the NOVICE CHAMBER H. Ruffner #10 in the NOVICE CHAMBER. Congratulations to all!

The Bulldogs defeated Central High School in 2 matches on Monday November 15, 2021. Leading team member contributors were: M. Ryan with 110 points E. Romatowski with 50 points B. Caudill with 30 points P. Ryan with 10 points. Congratulations to all of the team members. The Bulldogs will host the Eagles of Clarke County on Monday Nov 22, 2021.

Top choir students from across the district auditioned at Turner Ashby High School on Tuesday, November 2 for the opportunity to participate in the All-District Choir event. PLEASE SHARE: Notice To Parents In The Luray Area- Friday morning, November 5th, Bus 65 will be split up with several buses. This will be AM only. Listed below are the roads and approximate pick up times: Bus 26 will cover- 7:35 am start on Clearview Road, Piney Mountain Road, Edgewood and 211 BSN from Dry Run to Collins Ave. Bus 39 will cover- 7:35 am start on Painter Street, Canaan Street, Charles Ave.,Hilldale Drive and Nichols Road. Bus 27 will cover-7:35 am start on Eden Road and Creekside Drive. Bus 27 will also cover First Street at 7:50 am.

LHS will offer a Financial Aid/FAFSA workshop on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 6pm. This is a combination of general financial aid information, as well as help on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Students should bring their device (chromebook) to complete the FAFSA. Parent/students received emails about necessary documents they should bring as well. **Before attending the workshop, both the senior and parent/guardian should create an FSA ID (find instructions at: https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm)
