Reminder: The Driver's Education meeting for Parents and Students will take place on Tuesday, November 8th. Two sessions will be offered. Please plan to attend if your child is enrolled in Driver's Education.


Today marked the final day that LHS students could bring in food donations for Beetle's Blessing Box, located at Luray Middle School. Students donated a total of 1,023 items to help fill the box for the year. Many remarked that they felt really good knowing that they were contributing to a worthwhile cause. Great job, LHS!!

This is a reminder that the Food Drive to support Beetles Blessing Box, located at Luray Middle School, will continue until Friday, November 4, 2022. Any student of LHS in need of community service hours, this is a perfect opportunity to earn hours and support a great local cause. For every 5 items you bring in, you will be awarded 1 hour of community service. All items can be taken to the library to Mrs. Runyan. So far, student donations have totaled over 500 items since Monday. Way to go. Can we hit 1000 by Friday???

Last week ,Nancy Gordon and Alyce Getz of the Page County Electoral Board, presented to Mr. Eisemann's Government classes at Luray High School about the importance of voting, voter apathy, bipartisanship, midterm elections, and issue of power and why people should get involved in their communities. Luray High School would like to thank them both for taking the time to educate our students on these topics.

Notice to the Community:
On the morning of Saturday, October 29, 2022, there will be an emergency response training drill at Luray High School involving local police, fire, EMS, and public school staff. There will be an increased presence of emergency vehicles at and around the high school participating in the training drill.

ATTENTION LHS STUDENTS (SENIORS OR ANYONE ELSE IN NEED OF COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS) :
Beginning Monday, October 31, 2022, LHS will join with LMS FCCLA in collecting food and personal care items to support Beetle's Blessing Box at Luray Middle School. For every 5 items you bring in we will award 1 hour of community service. See the flyer for suggestions, but any items are welcome. In addition to food items, personal care items such as toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, diapers, etc. are all items that are considered very helpful. All donations can be delivered to Mrs. Runyan in the library.

Report Cards: First quarter report cards will be coming home with students on Thursday, October 27, 2022. PCPS will be moving toward fully electronic report cards, but this process is temporarily delayed until January of 2023.
No School for Students on Friday: This is a reminder to parents/guardians that on Friday, October 28, 2022, there will be NO School for students. This is a regularly scheduled Professional Development Day for staff.
Parent Portal: If you have not activated your parent portal account, please call your child’s school. All parents and guardians need an active parent portal account.

Bus 55 will be split between 3 busses this afternoon. Expect delays on each of these busses.
Bus 63 will cover Greenfield Road and Rolling Road
Bus 50 will cover US Highway 340 Business
Bus 30 will cover Pleasant View Road, Farm View Road, Blainesville Road, Hollow Run Road and Ida Loop Road.
