All afternoon and evening events and activities at all PCPS buildings, schools, offices, and facilities are canceled today, Monday, September 30, 2024. This cancellation includes all building use for Recreation Departments or any other groups across the division and Page County.
Thank you!

Due to ongoing rainfall, hazardous roads and varied conditions across the division, all PCPS schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 30, 2024. Again, all PCPS schools and offices will be closed on Monday, September 30th. An update on afternoon and evening activities will be provided later in the day.
Thank you!

Out of an abundance of caution, all PCPS schools and offices will operate on a two-hour delay schedule on Monday, September 30, 2024.
Students should plan to arrive at their bus stop two hours later than they normally would. Breakfast and lunch will be served at school.
We are monitoring road conditions and should they not be safe enough for our buses, student drivers and staff, we will communicate with everyone as early as possible tomorrow morning.
Thank you and please stay safe.

Good afternoon faculty, staff and families,
We are sending this message in response to the forecasted rain and the flood watch that has been issued for our area.
At this time, no decision has been made with regard to school tomorrow, Monday, September 30th. However, in order to allow everyone time to prepare, we are advising you that we may need to call a two-hour delay to navigate potentially hazardous road conditions caused by the predicted rainfall. If the decision is made to call a two-hour delay for tomorrow that decision will be made by 8:30pm this evening.
We also advise everyone to prepare in the event that road conditions deteriorate and school may have to be canceled tomorrow.
Again, at this time, NO DECISION has been made yet regarding the schedule for school on Monday, September 30th. We will continue to keep everyone informed throughout the evening.
We thank you in advance for your continued patience as we work to ensure the safety of everyone.

Dear PCPS Faculty, Staff and Families,
Late this afternoon, information was provided to PCPS from local law enforcement regarding a social media post showing a weapon and a threat listing the abbreviations for several locations. Two of those abbreviations were written as “Lhs” and “Lms”.
This post is in reference to school divisions in Maryland and does not have anything to do with Page County Public Schools, Luray High or Luray Middle schools.
We are sharing this information with you to let you know that we are aware of this post as is law enforcement and to assure you that this threat is not directed to PCPS, LHS, or LMS.
Thank you once again to our law enforcement partners for their responsiveness and continued support.
Parents and Guardians, please continue to have conversations with your children about making threats of any kind and the importance of reporting information to the school or law enforcement.
Thank you
