Computer Science students used their problem solving skills to complete the “How to Catch a Turkey” STEM challenge. Students were given 12 inches of tape, 5 pipe cleaners, 1 yard of string, cardboard and scissors to build their traps.
Spanish 1 & 2 classes made “Thankful turkeys” using their Spanish language skills. Estoy agradecido por (I am thankful for) was the starter and many listed mi familia (my family), comida (food), mi casa (my house), mi pais (my country), and mi mascota (my pet) among other things.
Students in Ms. Weikle’s seminar finished the Habitudes oversized gifts lesson by creating a chain of five strengths that each student possessed.
Just as a reminder, Today is the last day of this school week. School will be closed Wednesday-Friday in observance of Thanksgiving. From everyone here at PCPS, to all of you, we wish you a happy holiday.

Environmental Science students just finished learning about alternative energy, so they have been challenged to build a wind turbine that will lift a load. The winner gets Krispy Kreme donuts. They will compete on Monday, Nov. 25th.
