
The 1st annual Luray High School Boosters golf tournament will be held on June 17, 2020. See the attached flyer for details.

On February 15th the LHS Forensics and Debate teams traveled to Madison County High School to participate in a Virginia Catholic Forensics League preliminary competition. Luray finished as the 2nd place Sweepstakes Team. Individual awards were as follows:
Michael Strassner - 2nd Senator in Student Congress
Morgan Strassner - 1st Original Oratory
Mason Ryan & Juelian Warrick - 2nd Duo Dramatic Interpretation
Aidan Brown - 3rd Dramatic Interpretation
Kaya Huffman - 3rd Oral Interpretation
Junul Dale Smith - 3rd Extemporaneous
Wyatt Atkins - 4th Extemporaneous
Hailey Thomas - 5th Oral Interpretation
Several students also qualified for the VCFL State Finals in March.

Congratulations to the LHS varsity and jv girls basketball teams on being the Bull Run District Regular Season Champions!



Mrs. Baldwin's Sociology class conducted an experiment to see if petting your dog will lower your heart rate and blood pressure. It worked! The class had read about a study that Harvard Medical School did, and they completed a mini-version.



Thanks to Luray Caverns, Luray High School was awarded a $500 ExxonMobil Educational Alliance grant. Monies will be used to support STEM in the areas of science/math. This program is designed to provide retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities.
