Calling ALL of Page County!! Come out Tomorrow Night to support the Luray Girls as they represent Page County Public Schools in the State Quarterfinals. The girls play Poquoson High @ Page County High School. Game's at 6:30 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Cost: $10 per person.

Today LHS was honored to participate in the Grand Opening ceremony for Gordmans in the East Luray Shopping Center. We appreciate their support of local schools and the donation that we received to support instructional needs.

Congratulations Joe Lucas on being named Region 2B Girls Basketball Championship Team Coach of 2019-2020!

Congratulations to Brynlee Burrill and Emilee Weakley for being named 1st team all region! Also congratulations Emilee on being named the Region 2B player of the year!

5 girls represented Winter/Indoor Track at the State Meet. The 4X2 team (Hannah Campell, Mariah Boston, Leah Peralta, and Lucy Buracker) placed 8th! Lele Warrick ran her personal BEST in BOTH the 1600m and 3200m races! Lucy also placed 2nd in the 500m dash! Congratulations!

To clear up any confusion regarding the game this Friday night between Luray and Poquoson, according to the VHSL executive committee, Region Champions may host in their home region AREA, but not in their school.Therefore, the decision was made to hold the game at PCHS @ 6:30p.m.

LHS varsity girls basketball will play Poquoson High School on Friday, March 6th at 6:30 pm at Page County High School in state quarterfinals.

Congratulations to Lucy Buracker for finishing 2nd in the state in the 500 with a 1:23! Great job to all of those who represented LHS in the Winter State Track Meet.

Mrs. Alger's 10th grade English Honors classes had a short story competition as a closing activity to a unit. Everyone did a wonderful job! The following were voted as the most well rounded stories - Olivia Carrico with "The Time Traveling Cellphone", Eris Parlett with "The Best of Me", and Joy Downing, with "Reaper's Rose". Overall winner was Joy Downing!

Feb. 24th-28th was National FFA Week. LHS FFA collected pet food and supplies for the local animal shelter. For each supply collected, students were able to vote for a teacher to wear an inflatable pig costume. Mr. Martin was the winning teacher. Thanks for an awesome FFA week!
