On October 15, 2025, 13 senior welders battled it out in Welding 2’s intense in-house district qualifier! With just 2 hours and no coaching, they showcased top skills in SMAW and GMAW welding challenges.
The competition was fierce — 1st through 9th place were separated by only 6.25 points!
Avery S. took 1st place
Angelene M. earned 2nd
Christian S. snagged 3rd
The top 3 will advance to the SkillsUSA District Competition at NVCC in Manassas, while 4th to 6th place welders will create a sculpture for the SkillsUSA Welding Sculpture Contest!
