student measuring output

The Nurse Aide students at Page County Technical Center are learning about nutrition and fluid balance, as well as elimination of waste products from our body. They are learning skills such as: feeding residents who cannot feed themselves, measuring and recording urinary output, placing residents on bedpans, and caring for residents with catheters. These are all important skills, as monitoring what goes into and out of our residents is a big part of our job! While attending clinicals, they will be responsible for feeding residents daily. It is important that they know special diets in addition to how to properly feed someone!
