NOTICE TO PARENTS IN THE STANLEY AREA
Bus 68 will be bringing the Middle and High school students down.
Bus 17 will be approximately 45 minutes late this afternoon.
Bus 17 will be split into 2 separate runs.
All students on Park Road and Roundhead Drive, and in the Deerfield Estates Area and Stoneyrun Road will ride Bus 7 and arrive around 3:40 pm.
Honeyville Road students will ride bus 42 -second run and will be approximately 45 minutes late.


Important Information: PCPS Nutritional Services is Hiring!
Interested in substituting in a school cafeteria? Nutritional Services will be holding some required training sessions THIS week.

Halloween Costumes Wanted! Please consider donating unwanted Halloween costumes to the Stanley Boutique. This is a great way to upcycle and allow other students to pick costumes next year that might not have the means to get a costume.

Notice to the Community:
On the morning of Saturday, October 29, 2022, there will be an emergency response training drill at Luray High School involving local police, fire, EMS, and public school staff. There will be an increased presence of emergency vehicles at and around the high school participating in the training drill.

We are so excited to have a Food Drive at Stanley to help stock the local food banks. It is important that we teach our children to give back to the community they live within. Nov. 7-18th. The class with the most donations will win a prize. We are hoping to collect 1,000 can.


Tomorrow, Thursday, October 27, 2022, is the annual Read For the Record. Jumpstart's event, Read for the Record, is a global moment meant to raise awareness around the importance of early literacy and access to high-quality books. Each year Read For the Record brings millions of people together as they read the same book on the same day. This year, the book chosen for the event is Nigel and the Moon, by Antwan Eady, and is published by Harper Collins.
Please be on the lookout for pictures from this event as it is celebrated around PCPS.

Report Cards: First quarter report cards will be coming home with students on Thursday, October 27, 2022. PCPS will be moving toward fully electronic report cards, but this process is temporarily delayed until January of 2023.
No School for Students on Friday: This is a reminder to parents/guardians that on Friday, October 28, 2022, there will be NO School for students. This is a regularly scheduled Professional Development Day for staff.
Parent Portal: If you have not activated your parent portal account, please call your child’s school. All parents and guardians need an active parent portal account.

*340 West, Park Road and Roundhead Drive will be on time and riding A3 which is a mini bus.
*All students in the Deerfield Estates Area and Stoneyrun Road will ride bus 59 and arrive around 3:40 pm.
*Honeyville Road students will ride bus 42 -second run and will be approximately 45 minutes late.
Bus 59's regular route will be approximately 15 minutes late on Nauman Lane, Keystone Road, Lucas Hollow, Cubbage Hollow and Basin Hollow Road.
