In anticipation of tomorrow night's school board meeting, when a plan for reopening schools will be presented to the school board, we would like to remind everyone of proper social media etiquette. We understand that not everyone will like or even agree with the plans that are being put into motion. Please know that weeks have been spent preparing for the release of this plan, and every effort to find the best possible way to keep our students, faculty, staff, and administration safe has been of utmost importance. On Monday night the school board approved Dr. Paul Johnson to be the principal for Luray Middle School. We are excited to have Dr. Johnson return to Page County Public Schools. Congratulations!

Upcoming Kindergarten parents: Next week, Monday, June 22, 2020, each of the four elementary schools will be hosting scheduled appointments to screen incoming Kindergarten students for the 2020-21 school year. If you have not heard from your student's school, please reach out to schedule an appointment to have your incoming Kindergarten student screened. Preschool update: Due to a number of extenuating circumstances, preschool acceptance letter will not be sent out until the week ending June 26, 2020. Thank you and please share.

Page County Public Schools is now accepting registration for Kindergarten. There are several options for families. Option #1: Parent/Guardian may utilize the Google link (https://forms.gle/F2SKFQEj6W25dGsc8) to submit basic demographic information and schedule a phone interview to finalize the application. Option #2: Parent/Guardian may download, print, and complete the application (Go to pagek12.org/ Menu/ Documents/Kindergarten Registration Materials). Drop the completed registration form off at the Central Office (735 West Main Street Luray, VA 22835) or their home school. Option #3: Call their home school and complete the application over the phone with a staff member. PAL --Performing Arts Luray--is planning a production that will take place on the grounds of the Singing Tower in early October. It will be a Shakespeare in the Park event that will involve the entire community as well as tourists. PAL would like to get students involved in project-based learning, and this Shakespearean play is a great way for students apply differing skills to a community event. Mark you calendars for auditions!
