Tonight, Thursday, September 24, 2026, is the regularly scheduled school board meeting. The meeting will be held at Luray High School (This is a change of location). The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Comments are due by 4 p.m. The meeting may also viewed LIVE on our YouTube channel.

This is a reminder from Page County Public Schools that progress reports for the first 9 weeks for Grades 1-12 will be released tomorrow, Thursday, September 24,2026, through the Parent Portal. Also, on Friday, September 25, 2026, there is NO SCHOOL for students. This is a scheduled staff professional development/work day. School will resume on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Music was in the air as our students practiced rhythm, followed along with the music, and took turns playing the xylophones! It was a fun, hands-on lesson filled with learning and creativity.

Mrs Plum's class has been busy! They've been using candy corn to make shapes, what a sweet way to learn about shapes! They also watched a caterpillar go through its life cycle and become a butterfly. They were then able to release him and wish him safe travels as he travels south!

Do you have a little time to make a BIG difference for a child? Shenandoah Elementary is looking for community members interested in volunteering with our students during the school week. Opportunities may include listening to students read, working with individuals or small groups, practicing letter sounds and sight words, helping with simple activities, and providing encouragement. No teaching experience is necessary, and even 30 minutes can make an impact! If interested, please send a note to school or call the Shenandoah Elementary main office to have your name added to the volunteer list. We’ll follow up with information about the required Volunteer Application and available classroom opportunities

All aboard for a sweet treat! The Shenandoah Elementary School PTA Bake Sale is Saturday, September 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., or while supplies last. Stop by 7-Eleven at 600 4th Street in Shenandoah for cookies, cupcakes, brownies, and more. All proceeds support the students, teachers, and school community at Shenandoah Elementary School.
