May is National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and we'd like to take the time to honor two extremely hard working individuals, Mr. Don Ehlers, Athletic Director of Luray High School, and Mr. Bill Simmons , Athletic Director of Page County High School. These two men put in so many extra hours beyond the normal school day. They are always busy preparing fields and courts, scheduling, and rescheduling games, and there to supervise and work each and every game. Their dedication to our school system deserves to be recognized for all that they give to our division. If you see them around, don't hesitate to tell them thank you for all they do for your children and the community. A "thank you" goes a long way.

Last night, at the Page County Technical Center graduation, Practical Nursing Students were honored for their accomplishments. Congratulations to all!

It's National School Lunch Hero Day! Be sure to thank all of those who help to keep your children fed each day. Our Nutritional Services staff deserve a big thank you for all they do. You are appreciated. Stay tuned for pics later from our cafeterias around the division.

Attention families and friends of Luray High School:
This afternoon we evacuated the high school due to smoke inside the building. Following a full evacuation and emergency response, fire officials determined that a furnace had malfunctioned. They were able to remedy the situation quickly and we were permitted to safely re-enter the building. We appreciate the swift response by local emergency services. We are also proud to say that our students and staff handled this situation beautifully.
