RE: INTERIM APPOINTMENT TO THE SCHOOL BOARD
REPRESENTING DISTRICT 2
The Page County School Board will hold a public hearing on March 26, 2026, 6:30 p.m., at the
Page County School Board Offices, 735 West Main Street, Luray, VA 22835, for the purpose of
receiving public comments on the interim appointment of a person to fill the anticipated vacancy representing the District 2 seat on the Board and serve on the Board pending a special election subject to the order of the Circuit Court at the next general election on or about November 3, 2026.
The names of the applicants for the District Two seat on the Board will be announced at the
hearing in accordance with Virginia Code Section 24.2-228.
During public hearing, the Board will receive the views of citizens within the school division
relative to the qualifications of persons who should be considered to fill the position and specific candidates.

All PCPS schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Monday, February 23rd, 2026. This decision is based on road conditions throughout the county and the freezing temperatures expected overnight. Please arrive at your bus stop two hours later than usual. Breakfast and lunch will served. Parents and guardians of student drivers are encouraged to remind them to drive carefully tomorrow. Twelve-month employees will report on time, and all other staff will follow the two-hour delay schedule unless otherwise directed by their supervisor.
